Established in March 2004, CoreVentus (M) Sdn Bhd is a fast-growing and dynamic business strategy events organiser based in Malaysia.
We produce seminars, conferences and workshops for over 100 multinationals, conglomerates, financial institutions, government and quasi-government enterprises across the region in Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand and Brunei.
We are very focused on providing our clients with timely, incisive and useful training from some of the most prominent practitioners and experts in their fields from all across the globe.

We research, produce and organise business events which are topical, practical, and strategic, keeping business executives up-to-date with industry trends, technological developments, strategic management processes and regulatory changes.
Our services include: programme planning, design, and budgeting; identifying trainers; transport and accommodation arrangements; venue selection, on-site management, and AV arrangements; pre-event questionnaire collation; publicity and promotion; sponsor negotiation and exhibition management; registration and catering; and post-event evaluation.
OUR MANAGEMENT TEAM
The CoreVentus management team collectively has 30 years of experience in the business events management industry.
The team is goals-oriented and results-driven and guides the company through every phase of its continual growth and success.
M. SUNDARA RAJOO - MANAGING DIRECTOR
Since co-founding CoreVentus, Raj has led the company's transformation from being the "new boy on the block" to a leading player in events management in the country.
Under his leadership, the company has added various business strategy programmes that are more focused, practical and timely to its offerings.
"A lot of thought goes into making our programmes directly beneficial to our clients. They must add value to their businesses," he says.
Raj has championed initiatives aimed at making CoreVentus more customer-centric, engendering greater loyalty and confidence from its diverse client-base.
"Even though we are relatively small, our team delivers on quality and professionalism. This is evidenced in the positive feedback we constantly receive. We always try to make our clients feel special and serve them to the best of our abilities," he adds.
Raj's contributions include raising brand awareness and expanding CoreVentus' presence in the Southeast Asian region.
Raj holds a bachelor's degree in Psychology and Philosophy from Bemidji State University, USA, and is currently pursuing his MBA in Finance at the Multimedia University in Cyberjaya.
He was previously with HSBC Bank Malaysia Bhd, Maxis Communications Bhd, Tanco Resorts Bhd, Marcus Evans (M) Sdn Bhd and SMPP (M) Sdn Bhd.
What surprising facts can you reveal that most people may not know about you?
"I have a 3rd-Degree Blackbelt in Tae-kwon-do and once competed for the country.
"When I was 19, I cycled around the length and breadth of Peninsular Malaysia on a Raleigh Rapide 10-speed bicycle over six weeks with two friends. It was great fun! "
FELIX PERERA - SALES DIRECTOR
Felix is responsible for aggressively expanding CoreVentus' customer base within the government, quasi-government, multinationals and financial services sectors.
He plans and executes the company's sales strategy and trains and motivates the sales team to be results-oriented and achieve their monthly targets.
"Our people are our greatest assets. They are driven and determined and some of smartest people I know. If we run a conference or workshop for our clients, they are rest assured that those seats will be filled," he said.
Felix has nine years experience in the events management business, leading sales teams and selling events in Malaysia, Brunei, Singapore, Philippines and Indonesia markets.
He was previously a property consultant with Jones Lang Wootton, a sales director for SMPP (M) Sdn Bhd and senior sales manager for Marcus Evans (M) Sdn Bhd.
What surprising facts can you reveal that most people may not know about you?
"I have an abiding passion for classic cars. I helped out my dad and uncle since the age of nine to restore various cars among them a Jaguar Mark II and an MGB.
"I have plans to rebuild a Volkswagen Karmann Ghia 1968 which I own. I currently also have a VW Beetle 1967 which is in running condition and I drive a Volvo 940, 1997 model.
"I love music and was very into car audio systems. I once owned a Satria with 13 speakers!
"I have a penchant for 80s bands, and once I was also a deejay."
FLORENCE LOO - PRODUCTION DIRECTOR
Florence leads the research, design and production of programmes for CoreVentus.
She manages the events calendar and ensures the delivery of targetted number of programmes for each year as well as trains new producers on finding and developing viable, new topics for the company.
"I enjoy putting together a programme that precisely meets the needs of our clients. All our programmes have been very well-received as gauged from the feedback forms, post-conference evaluations and repeat customers," she said.
Florence has produced events in the fields of Human Resources, Information Technology, Manufacturing, Customer Relationship Management, Service Level Agreement and Corporate Communications.
She also researches new markets to determine the viability of conducting events in the Thailand, Indonesia and the Philippines.
"Our clients are constantly looking to us to bring new and interesting programmes to the market. As the market matures, clients also have higher expectations and are a lot more demanding. We work aggressively to fulfil those demands. With CoreVentus, you can be sure every programme is of high quality with exceptional trainers and definite ROI for participants."
Florence was previously a production manager in Marcus Evans (M) Sdn Bhd and head of production department for SMPP (M) Sdn Bhd. She holds a Bachelor's in Business Administration (BBA) from Acadia University, Nova Scotia, Canada.
What surprising facts can you reveal that most people may not know about you?
"I was a state-level handball player representing Sri Aman school in Petaling Jaya. We were school state champions and I played from Standard Six right up till Form Five."
"I am not a mountain-climbing enthusiast, but in 2003 I climbed Gunung Ledang (Mount Ophir), the highest peak in Johore (1,276 m), with friends. For me, it was a big deal because I have a fear of heights - so I am quite thrilled I did it."
GWEN NG - EVENT OPERATIONS & MARKETING DIRECTOR
Gwen is responsible for the smooth running of CoreVentus' events. She also holds the operations and marketing portfolio and is responsible for all print and online promotional material, press releases, media coordination and website maintenance.
With 15 years experience, Gwen has managed corporate training events in Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, Philippines and Brunei and liaised with offices and clients around the world.
"I am an operations person. There is nothing like the exhilaration of making the logistics of an event - flights, hotel, venue - happen and being complimented for a job well done from both the speakers and participants," she says.
Gwen is very resourceful and has streamlined operations and procedures between business units in CoreVentus. She also produces the information packs for participants and collates the evaluation of speakers and participants post-event.
Gwen was previously with Southwick Sales Consultants (M) Sdn Bhd, and the regional event operations manager for Marcus Evans (M) Sdn Bhd and SMPP (M) Sdn Bhd
What surprising facts can you reveal that most people may not know about you?
"I once organised golf tournaments for Golf Malaysia, a local magazine. It was fun, but I never got into the game.
"I was a banquet coordinator for the Bankers Club in Kuala Lumpur. I organised dinners for the who's who of the country."
